This plate contains examples of the standard images being photographed
by the Taxon Based Units. These Taxon Based Units are research groups roughly
organized by superfamily. Each of these groups have chosen exemplar taxa and
are making collections of their chosen species. Based on suggestions by the
morphology based research groups they are taking a suite of about 40 images
using SEM and light microscopy. These images are being archived in the MorphBank web repository and are being used for coding the skeletal
matrix. Eventually these images will be disseminated on the web using MorphBank and the Nexus Illustrator.
